Five interesting developments in tech for 2020

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

Change is a constant factor in the fast-moving world of technology. New products and trends come and go so fast that it is difficult to keep up with, but if an organization wants to avoid the risk of falling behind, it is a must to keep abreast of current developments.

Image result for trends 2020

1. Super-fast technology at your fingertips At
speeds up to 100 times higher than its predecessor, 5G will be the second largest evolution in the telecom industry. It promises super-fast download speeds and a lower latency. However, the arrival of 5G also means that companies must prepare for the implementation of this technology both in the workplace and beyond.
Smartphones bring the possibilities of 5G directly within reach. It is therefore expected that we can expect a doubling when it comes to the smartphone as a favorite device in the workplace. And as the adaptation and value of flexible devices such as the smartphone increase, so too will the demand for products to better protect these devices.
Organizations will have to adapt the workplace and work floor to the modern needs of employees in order to facilitate a seamless experience for various devices for them.

2. Security remains a priority
2019 After the introduction of the GDPR in 2018, the focus was on data protection. This also brought the debate about cyber security to the forefront, encouraging both organizations and consumers to pay more attention to their personal data. Yet cyber security is often limited to a silo, separate from the physical security of data, while the two are nevertheless inextricably linked.
To illustrate, all you have to do is look at the example of Heathrow Airport in the UK. They received a fine of no less than 120,000 pounds last October after a staff member lost a USB stick that was later found by a citizen. This example shows that a seemingly small error can have large and expensive consequences. A lost USB stick or lost smartphone can already be enough to expose the confidential data of an organization. In 2020, the focus on combining cyber and physical security will grow.

3. Sustainability is gaining importance
In the past year we have seen enough examples of greenwashing and sustainability commitments that have not been met. However, sustainability will continue to gain in importance in 2020. The changing wishes of customers require companies to take action in all different areas.
Resellers and cooperation partners demand transparency in the field of sustainability from their suppliers. After all, every organization will set high standards for its environmental policy across the board.
As a small organization, it is easier to set up a short supply chain for sustainability, but as the size of the company grows, it can become difficult to keep all levels green. It is the responsibility of the organization to encourage this change and to be transparent in this. After all, customers appreciate and expect this from organizations. Sustainability is no longer just a USP, it will become a requirement in 2020.

4. Meeting the needs of the next generation
Flexible and remote work plays an essential role in 2020. Gen Z is entering the workplace and the arrival of this new generation will also change the role of technology. This new generation will incorporate the available technologies and policies employers pursue in their choice to get started. Being connected and flexible therefore becomes essential in recruiting the right talent. Think of linked functionalities on the shop floor, companies need hardware that has cloud capability and match the pace of the changing work ecosystem. This way, the right docking station can easily let an employee synchronize his devices and gadgets. Whereas a laptop replaced the fixed PC in ease of use at the time, the docking station will make a desk full of cables superfluous.

5. The role of the IT supplier is changing
Because both large and small organizations are turning to leaner models and processes to achieve optimum business efficiency, the amount of time and budget available for training and development can be limited. If fewer people are needed to do more, this means that companies will increasingly rely on their IT suppliers to train and guide them with the most suitable technology for integration into and outside the workplace. Companies that purchase IT devices and accessories for the workplace face an overwhelming possibility of choices that can ultimately be quite confusing.
In 2020 we will increasingly see existing IT suppliers as an extension of the organization. They provide valuable advice and help companies determine how technology can best add value to their activities.

Improve by one percent at a time

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

For people who would like to improve on a personal level, there is a widely used Japanese method: Kaizen. Kaizen revolves around the small steps that must be taken to realize the biggest plans. AllTopStartup founder Thomas Oppong puts it this way: “Getting one percent better every day is a simple, practical way to achieve big goals.”

Kaizen spread to the rest of the world thanks to American experts such as Frank Bunker Gilbreth and Frederick Winslow Taylor. They were already at the forefront of research into effective work in the 1920s and their knowledge was the basis for Kaizen. In post-war Japan, a way was sought to increase the effectiveness of employees. This way was found in the idea of Kaizen, freely translated: good change, or continuous improvement.

More than just improvement

Kaizen has a goal that goes beyond just improvement. It is a daily activity and a process that can make people more human. It eliminates unnecessary work and teaches people to see wastes and remove them. A commonly used definition is ‘disassembly and reassembly in a better way’. What is taken apart is usually a process, system, or service in a company. In personal development, an action or habit will be reassembled.

Accessible

Continuous improvement works by sticking to three conditions. Set a goal for one percent improvement. Decide how often you will work on the goal and stick to that plan, focus on the one percent improvement. Stay with this process until you reach the end goal. By not focusing on the end goal but on the one percent goal, improvement can be achieved in an easily accessible manner. By working in small steps you build a solid foundation for a great future.

IMPORTANT SIGNS THAT YOU ARE NOT LIVING FULLY..START MAKING CHANGES FOR 2019!!

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

You undoubtedly have thousands of future plans in your head. About the things you still have to do, the goals you want to achieve and the people you want to share your life with. But sometimes it’s true that you do not have the time to do everything …  or maybe this just seems like that. Have you ever thought that you are only wasting your time and life?

It may be that you invest your time in things that are not necessary  or that require too much of your time without you realizing this. Do you really not have enough time or do you simply spend your time on things that lead nowhere? Read on and find out.

“The past has fled, that what will come is absent, but the present is yours.”

Arabian saying-

1. You invest your time in something that yields nothing

You need moments where you allow yourself some distraction and where you release yourself from your professional responsibilities. However, if you spend most of your time on “distraction,” you will eventually feel like you have not done anything all day. Therefore ensure a balance between work and distraction. Choose activities that really mean something and that you have something to offer and reduce activities that do not.

Activities that give you the feeling that you are wasting your life include excessive alcohol use, hours in front of the television and always immersing yourself in social media. If you want to be with your friends, then look for an alternative. For example, go camping or cook together and simply spend time together. Choose activities that will help you improve your relationships and lead to the life you want.

2. You are unable to improve your skills

People are programmed to learn new things. One way to waste your life is by not giving yourself the chance to learn and grow as much as possible . Do you remember what we said about investing your time in activities that do not give you anything? Well, an excellent alternative is to use that time for something constructive, such as doing thinking games or teaching yourself a new skill.

Put your brain to work and challenge yourself as much as possible. Doing games like crossword puzzles and sodoku will stimulate your brain and it will not be long before you are addicted to the mental challenge they offer you. Another great alternative to help your mind develop is by learning new skills, from learning to play an instrument to learning a new language. Do you prefer something that costs less effort? Then simply read a book.

“Learning how to learn is the most important skill for education and this should be explained during the very first lessons.”

-John Seymour-

3. You have negative conversations

Negative conversations are terrible time wasted. And if you yourself are the subject of the negative conversation, then this is even worse. Keep in mind that what you think becomes reality. Are you aware of what you say every time you lose out in negativity during a conversation or during your daily activities? Or how nice you are against yourself? When you are faced with a challenge and have already given up in your mind, failure is almost inevitable.

Of course it is not easy to break this habit, because we are not necessarily aware that we have this habit at all. What you have to do is to keep an eye on what you are saying and that way you will gradually change the message you send out. Also distracting and engaging your thoughts will help you to reduce those negative messages.

4. You do not make plans for the future

How do you see yourself in ten years? What would you like to be concerned with at this point in your life? With what tools do you see yourself doing this? Although you certainly should not forget to live in the present moment , the future should not be forgotten. Setting goals motivates you to move on and helps you avoid wasting your life and passing it away meaninglessly. Goals allow you to carve out a path and make you feel as if there is something you are working towards to improve and develop yourself.

“The future has many names. He is unreachable for the weak. He is unknown to the anxious. He is an opportunity for the brave. “

-Victor Hugo-

Many people almost live like zombies. They wake up in the morning, eat something, go to work and return home in the evening. Every day is the same and when they finally make time to reflect on their lives, they feel empty. This happens because they do not set goals for themselves.

Focus on one or two important goals and then on some less important ones . How about joining the Iron man in 2030? This triathlon provides even the best athletes with a challenge and is an admirable goal for anyone. Once you have established the larger goal for yourself, you can focus on less important short-term goals. This year you will complete a half marathon and next year a complete and so on.

Do not even give yourself the chance to waste your life. Take advantage of everything around you so that you can grow and improve. The best thing you can do is live life to the fullest; you can never change the past.

In five years, the blockchain will completely change our world

FacebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmailIf we look how rapidly things are changing, I dare to say that five years from now you will not recognize the world we are living on. I strongly believe that cryptocurrency and blockchain will uproot life. Yes how the roots grow afterwards… We will hope to see this.

Let me tell you this first before moving deeper in the stuff…What is blockchain?

A blockchain is, in short, a way to securely verify transactions and identities by storing and executing a small part of the verification process in several places. This allows you to check with whom you do business and also check the origin of what you exchange. Whether it’s bitcoins, churrasco, rum, sex, soya beans or jeans.

Cryptocurrency: no hype

Be noted that many successes have been achieved by the blockchain so far.

In five years’ time, I think, there is nothing that is not available through the blockchain. Cryptocurrency and blockchain are not just a temporary hype, but it will take us further in the digital future of doing businnes. Flash back in time how the world was thinking about the internet.

Nowadays it is inconceivable that a company does not have a website. This also applies to cryptocurrency. But cryptocurrency and blockchain will not only improve companies, it will transform them. You are going to make what comes out of the process. You can not say that you want to make a new carburetor, for example. What comes out of the process depends on the people who take part. You bring together a bunch of smart people and you start. You do not know if a new car, rocket or a pair of shoes comes out of it. You have to be willing to make what flows out of synergy. If you can not accept that – then you are no longer in charge of business – you will not succeed in the cryptocurrency / blockchain world. It sounds maybe as fiction….but time will tell !

The value of the idea

The value of the idea has/will become zero. Everybody has an idea a hundred times a day, it’s about the implementation, the organization and the work in the direction of that idea. And even then you sometimes end up with something that does not even resemble what you once intended. The people who understand that there is no longer a boss, no central authority or central design, those are the people who will soon earn hundreds of millions. All others will fail. If you think you can start a business and tell people what to do, you better not even start. Nobody works for me. Nobody works for anyone. That is how the world no longer fits. The rules will come from the process. The old-fashioned power structures are spread around the world. Imagine how a manager never met most of his/her employees. You have to forget everything you know about business operations, money transactions and marketing. Everything changes and there is no central control anymore. ‘

How blockchain changes the world

I believe that almost no one starts a business because he has an idea. Usually it is precisely the fact that he / she knows a clever, interesting group of people and wants to bring them together. It is precisely this smart group of people who together can name the best process. For example : a club of people who started to design a rocket. In the process, they then focus on the rocket engine and then on the fuel system of that engine. In the middle of that process, they realize that the challenge is not the fuel system, but the fuel itself. As they focus on the fuel, it is more about the refining process. These people have gone from building a rocket to oil refining. It’s just like that you have to move in future business. It will soon be the case in all companies around the world. Be alert.. Be prepared !

Once again I believe and dare to tell you that cryptocurrency will changed the world in five years from now. I furthermore believe that financial power will look very different. Yes think about or imagine that banks will NOT exist anymore.

All governments will have to think about how they will maintain their country if no income tax can be levied anymore. They will not be able to collect the money, because they do not know where the money is, who it is and where it is transferred to. Gone will be the time to stand in lines. You will not need someone else to do something with your very own money. Do people already realize that you will be able to run your financial this from you bed or lazy chair. It is already happening !

 Blockchain changes society

The society will also change drastically. If you want it or not, things will change. Think about the fact that pension will no longer exist. The boundary between work and private life will disappear slowly. If you live in the blockchain era, those two will be the same. Pension will mean nothing, zero nada.

In the blockchain, it means that you and I will no longer feel synergy with a group of people because they work on make money in their process. So I go to another blockchain where they are in a golfing process. And tomorrow I will go to the process of sailing, and the day after to hiking. You can call that retirement, but in fact nothing changes. Only the process group you choose to participate in will change. I hope I am clear enough.

Everything happens at the same time in the blockchain. It is no longer about the idea, but about our willingness to abandon the idea in favor of the process. The here and now changes continuously. You are no longer a telecom company or an oil company. The company is constantly changing, there is only a constant present. No past, no future. As it develops now, we adapt to it.Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

Where Ohh Where Do I Find My Blogging Inspiration?

FacebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmailInspiration is actually not that hard to find. Starting with contrast, searching. I personally believe that inspiration can be found anywhere. And for everyone. The problem is, you need a certain state of perception. Because the phenomenon in itself, is not so crazy complicated: inspiration is in my opinion an interaction between external stimuli and what the brains do. And by definition, you can say that inspiration comes from the outside. How annoying too … it comes and it goes. Waiting for inspiration is therefore totally meaningless. And it’s amazing how many people do so sitting in that game. They wait and say: ‘I really need more inspiration! “The harsh reality, inspiration does not just happen to you. It calls for action to move to do. And yes, you probably know yourself.

So I leave you hereby give 5+5 tips that will hopefully help you to begin to look with inspiration:

  1. Choose to rest

Plays calm in our busy lives a very important role. Also, when it comes to inspiration. Looking even conscious for 15 minutes one day and pick up the hammock. Or even take a weekend getaway.

  2. Go out

Nature is of course full of external stimuli. Take that walk or step into the boat. And consciously listen to your surroundings. If necessary, just close your eyes.

  3. Locate water

an environment with water stands for inspiration. Hence many ideas arise in the shower or bath. Or, yes, on the toilet. Ha-ha try it out.

  4. Know yourself

an important question is: why someone or something inspires you? The answer to that question brings more focus in your quest.

  5. Surround yourself with type A

Type A people that give you energy. Type B people costs you energy.

So if you are looking for inspiration, consciously choose for some extra time with Type A.

  1. Change of Scenery

Change your environment as much as possible. Sitting in the same everyday will not give you any new stimuli/booster.

  2. Read

not all readers become inspiring leaders, but inspirational leaders certainly are all readers. There are lots of nice books. So dive once in a good book and boom you will find some more blog ideas.

  3. Create

Choose a topic, set your timer and try to create something for 15 minutes. Do not stop and do whatever comes to mind. Write, paint or talk. Nonstop. Looks crazy but finally yeah…it comes good.

  4. Listen to others

Meet new people and try to listen. And listen to understand, not to respond. It will certainly inspire and perhaps even enriching.

  5. Quote

to finish and to inspire understand this quote: “To be inspired is great, to inspire is incredible.”

My Dear visitors I hope that you are now double inspired and motivated to move further in our blogging world. If you have more sweet ideas, just share them in the comments.

ENTREPRENEURS : How to control your reaction(s), and your response(s), in times of change

FacebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmailModification / Change creates a mixture of anticipation, anxiety, uncertainty, dread, eagerness and fear.

There is something important about these feelings. The words describe not the change itself, but how people typically feel when confronted with change. Leading change is a matter of leading people. Here are some typical emotions you may feel when chance is announced and how you can manage your responses and guide those around you.

If you want to turn out excited and charged up in the midst of a change:

  • Casually use positive words about it in informal settings, such as, “I think it is surely an attractive decent idea.” Or, “looks like it has potential. We just need to work the bugs out.”
  • Work unpaid to help with an initial task, and allow others to learn you are working on it.
  • Look delirious: Use good eye contact and body posture, and smile and look happy and focused when you are working on the new initiative.
  • Don’t allow people to interrupt you when you are working on the new initiative. Tell them you need to finish what you are doing and will call them/find them afterward.
  • Bring up in dialogue what you like about the new project and why.

To pop up to others to be interested and reasonable but also a little skeptical:

  • When transition is announced, ask clarifying questions in a neutral or positive tone, such as, “Could you explain in a little more detail…” or “I’m intrigued but I’d like to understand this one point a little better…” Mind the tone of your question and your tone of voice.
  • The day after an announcement, comment to some colleagues or a supervisor that you had thought overnight how this new project would pop out, and wondered if people leading the initiative had thought about “this” expected hurdle and “that” possible benefit, then go find out the answer. Take it further by simply stating that you are interested in seeing this initiative succeed.

If you like to do more to toe the company line, it’s probably the case that you have sat in the skeptic or naysayer camps in the past, and now you want to begin altering your image or position.

  • This time, say nothing negative. When the topic comes up, have an open, relaxed body posture and an engaged look on your face.
  • Ask your supervisor a clear question about the new goal or vision, to demonstrate honest interest.
  • Try a bit of self-deprecation with colleagues or your boss: “Hey, even I can see the reasons for this new route.” “What could I – and sorry to surprise you here – but what could I do to help?”

If you think you want to avidly critique the new vision (even fairly) with anyone who wants to talk about it, first recognize that this isn’t always a good idea. Chattering too much about a change can appear to your managers as an attempt to blow on objection, even if that’s not your intent. If you genuinely want to critique a new vision or goal as clean as possible, you could:

  • Choose whether or when to join water-cooler discussions, and when to leave. You could also choose to listen without stating your very own meaning. Or you could play a role in moderating a discussion by seeking out opinions that differ from those of the most vocal speakers: “What’s a different side here? Let’s try to listen carefully to each other.”
  • Use non-incendiary language. “Let’s keep this below 100 decibels, folks.” “Reasonable people can disagree.”

If you want to listen clearly to others’ opinions before deciding what you think:

  • First consider your sources. Do they know what they’re talking about?
  • Use impartial language to ask open-ended questions of people who are likely to have different perspectives: “What led to you think that?” “What pros and cons do you see?” “How would you react to this thought about the new goal?”
  • Ask your supervisor if a staff Q&A or brainstorming session would be possible. Explain that a public airing might turn up some negatives, but also some inherent solutions to problems, as well as some positives.
  • If no Questions & Answers is going to happen, you could ask someone privy to company information to reply personally or in writing to questions you need to have answered.

Get Pioneers Included when Conveying Authoritative Change to Workers

FacebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmailEvery organization, including yours, experiences change. Even if you aren’t currently undergoing a layoff, reorganization, merger, acquisition, outsourcing or big shift in benefits, you probably will be in the near future.

When that time comes, will your senior leaders be on the front line of change? Or will they delegate communicating the change to you?

The answer to those two questions can make or break a change project. Your change efforts are more likely to be successful if leaders—from the CEO to VP’s—are actively involved.

But how can you prepare your leaders to embrace their critical role in supporting change? Try these five tips to build your change communication strategy.

1. Make sure Senior Leaders Know their Roles

Your CEO probably understands his role, but the leaders who report to him—and the VP’s on the next level—may not see themselves as key change communicators. You need to set those expectations by bringing together these senior leaders to not only provide an overview of an upcoming change, but to emphasize how important it is that they meet with employees to explain the change. Then provide a leader communication guide that further explains their role, and give them essential tools to fulfill that role, including key messages and frequently asked questions.

2. Ensure that Leaders Truly Understand the Change

Often VP’s and unit leaders know what’s changing, but don’t get the full extent of the organization-wide implications. Make sure leaders have an opportunity to learn what’s changing, where and when; this is best done through a face-to-face session with senior management.

3. Show Leaders how People Experience Change Communication

When key decisions have not yet been finalized and leaders don’t know what they should be communicating, they’ll often stop.

Consider organizing an interactive session for the company’s top 100 leaders to help them understand why employees need contact, even if definitive information isn’t available. Have your CEO explain the change, then break the audience out into teams and have them brainstorm questions they think employees may have. If you have enough time, you might also want to have senior leaders answer some of the key questions generated. This exercise gives participants a way to express their questions and concerns by channeling employees.

Just as important, give leaders help with questions they won’t be able to answer. In some cases, the answer is not yet known; in others, it can’t be shared. Regardless, coach leaders on sample responses to all questions, including what to say about rumors or when someone expresses anxiety.

4. Provide Leaders with Easy-to-use Tools

During times of change, leaders have less time than ever. So they need a toolkit that contains key messages and facts, a presentation deck and answers to FAQs. Consider creating a mobile-compatible change communication micro site for leaders. That way they can access all the tools right from their tablets or smartphones.

5. Use Clear Language when Communicating Change

Don’t use clichés or slogans—employees can spot “corporate speak.” Be open, be honest, and most importantly, be respectful. Employees will remember how change is communicated to those most impacted and will see it as a sign of how your company values all its staff.

Leading change is never easy, but by equipping leaders with the help they need, they—and the organization—will be set up for success.

Change Communication tips for Leaders

Don’t:

Do:

Think only about the information you need to share.

Focus on the employee perspective.

Use specific examples of what employees need to do differently to help the company succeed.

Deliver a message once, then expect everyone to “get it.”

Consistency and repetition are key. By the time you’re ready to tell employees about a change, you’ve probably been working with the issue for months. But employees are hearing it for the first time, so they need to hear the message multiple times to truly get it.

Do all the talking.

Listen. Letting people give voice to their anxieties has been proven by researchers to release tension.

Get irritated when hearing a question you’ve answered many times before.

Be patient even if you don’t feel that way. How well leaders answer questions can mean the difference between encouraging employees to speak freely and shutting people down. And remember, just because you’ve heard a question before doesn’t mean the employee asking has.

Become defensive when someone asks a tough question.

Answer difficult questions openly and honestly. If you don’t know all the details, it’s OK to say, “I don’t know,” but make sure to tell employees you’ll give them the rest of the information as soon as possible.Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail
