Five Transformational Standards for Life Achievement/Career

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

Are you like many of my clients who question if reinventing your career, in today’s economy, is realistic? (Maybe one of the following scenarios is holding you back from pursuing the career and life you want).

–      Do you feel scared because you love your job but keep hearing rumors of a lay off or;

–      Have you been in the job search process some time now with no results;

–      You are disillusioned with your current job/career but believe you better stay put because at least you have a job;

–      Do you think it is too late in your life to do what you really love or;

–      Are you ready to do what you love and just not sure how to get started?

You are definitely underestimating what is possible for you. You are the CEO of your career and life and like any successful business taking time to reflect, renew or reinvent is key to your ongoing success and fulfillment.

When you apply the 5 transformational principles presented you will have a personalized one page plan that can lead you to:

  1. Become a proactive CEO of your career
  2. Become recognized as a visible leader
  3. Get the promotions you deserve and more (Yes! Even in these time)
  4. Have a fulfilling career doing what you love, and
  5. Keep your life in balance too.

Ram Dass: Author and spiritual teacher once said: “Everything in your life is there as a vehicle for your transformation. Use it!”

The career and life you most desire is possible when you are willing to move in the direction of your dreams. Apply the following 5 transformational principles to your life to make the necessary shifts and discover a new beginning.

Principle 1 — Appreciate last year’s successes

Beginning with an attitude of gratitude is an essential first step to personal transformation. Take time to write down what you did well and feel most proud of in your career. Without doubt, you accomplished some amazing things. When you acknowledge and appreciate your successes you are taking responsibility for your greatness. You can even go so far as to give yourself a pat on the back or a great big hug. Give credit where credit is due because you are awesome!  Take the time to list your career and life accomplishments this year?

Principle 2 — Learn your lessons. What you learn from your successes and disappointments will reveal major life lessons that are truly meaningful. Ask yourself, “How did I achieve this accomplishment”? Your thoughtful answers will uncover the abilities, strengths and behaviors you consistently demonstrate to have success.

Secondly, ask yourself, “What is the lesson to be learned from my disappointments/failures”? The answers revealed to you can be converted into reminders or advice to yourself. By doing so, you are your own teacher and provide great inspiration and motivation for yourself. They maybe simple guidelines you follow like:

Remember what matters;

  • Value every Relationship;
  • Say yes to the next step;
  • Trust the process.

You are the best source of wisdom for you. Can you imagine the results you can achieve when you take the time to learn from your accomplishments and disappointments?  Write down 3 statements of advice to yourself for future success.  Keep it short memorable and a positive statement.

Principle 3Shift to an empowering paradigm and live into your passions.

This principle is about living from the place of truth within you…your true greatness…a place within you where your heart sings. Most important to being successful is to get in touch with what has been holding you back. More than likely it is a limiting belief(s).  One of the most common limiting beliefs people live from is “I am not good enough”. This belief among others will sabotage your success and block your ability to live your passions and achieve your goals.

Recognize them for what they are and one by one let them go and replace them with a truthful statement that is positive, personal and in the present (“What I put my mind to I achieve”).Most importantly, be willing to ask for help. For many of us breaking through old belief patterns requires divine intervention.  What is your new empowering paradigm?

Principle 4Live according to your values and key roles

Be clear about what really gets you out of bed in the morning. What are the personal principles or standards (values) you live by?  Values are the hidden drivers behind your goals. What values are most important in your life?

Key to having balance in your life is your ability to integrate these values with your major life roles. The quote from Brian Dyson, CEO of Coca Cola Enterprises, defines this best.

Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the air. You name them work, family, health, friends and spirit, and you’re keeping all of these in the air. You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball, if you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other four balls — family, health, friends and spirit — are made of glass. If you drop one of these, they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered. They will never be the same.

What are the major life roles you play (Parent, Spouse, Business Owner, Self-Manager, etc.)? Thoughtfully identify the key role that is a major focus (a priority) for you this year.

Principle 5 — Set your top career and life goals and track your success.

Your values and major life roles are a supportive framework to set inspiring personal and professional goals. Set your goals by answering the question: WHAT RESULTS DO I WANT TO ACHIEVE TO MAKE THIS MY BEST YEAR YET IN each key ROLE in my life?  Take the time to write down your top 10 goals, take consistent action and track your success.

The beauty of applying the 5 transformational principles is the outcome. You now have a personalized and simplified one page plan to follow.

  • Advice/guidelines based on lessons learned,
  • Empowering paradigm,
  • Major focus (Which a role do you want a breakthrough in performance?)
  • Top 10 goals

Try Not To Quit At MENOPAUSE

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

My dear Fire Nation,

On request of one of our readers we like to blog something about MENOPAUSE….. READ FURTHER HOPE YOU FIND IT INFORMATIVE

Every woman has to go through the menopausal transition period usually at the age of 40-50 years. The underlying hormonal changes during this period, most importantly changes in the concentration of estrogen cause the initiation of many physical and mental anomalies. There will be drastic decrease in the concentration of the female hormone or Estrogen during this phase. Due to this reason changes occur in the pattern of estrogen signaling in the amygdala and hippocampus region of the brain. These changes cause mood swings, depression, anxiety disorders as well as changes in sexual behavior. Additionally estrogen also influences other bodily functions relating to cardiovascular and musculoskeletal systems. Hypoestrogenism i.e. lower levels of estrogen can also enhance sedentary habits, which lead to deposition of lipids and accumulation of higher amount of body fat. Hence women are more susceptible to cardiac problems and other bone related disease such as osteoporosis during this phase.

Reproductive Medicine is a multi disciplinary medical science based on reproductive anatomy, physiology, endocrinology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and pathology. Reproductive Medicine deals with prevention, diagnosis and cure of disorders to the Reproductive system with an aim to maintain reproductive health. While addressing fertility related issues, it allows couples to have children at their convenient time. Reproductive Medicine focuses on aspects like sex education, puberty, fertility, family planning, birth control, reproductive health, and sexually transmitted diseases. It also focuses on issues related to gynecology that affect fertility among women including menstruation, pregnancy, ovulation and menopause.

Gynecology Journals are at higher echelons that enhance the intelligence and information dissemination on topics closely related to Gynecology and obstetrics. Universally prominent Editorial Board members support the Gynecology Peer Reviewed Journal. Gynecology journal’s impact factor is calculated based on the number of articles published, essence of the work and number of citations received for the same.

Researchers have been studying the hormonal change patterns and other associated symptoms in pre- and post-menopausal women with the aim of making this transition period easy to understand and tackle. A healthy diet with regular physical activity is indispensable at this stage along with medical counseling if required.

Recently it was found that daily consumption of whole cereals including corns, quinoa etc. provides the much needed nutrients with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and lipid metabolizing activities. Food items rich in proteins, fibers, tocopherols, carotenoids like lutein and zeaxanthin are highly recommended to menopausal women.

Studies on menopausal women also demonstrate that the symptoms of previously existing diseases such as schizophrenia, OCD and PTSD increase many fold during this phase. Thus it becomes imperative that the physicians should consider the underlying factors of menopause while deciding the psychiatric medication for menopausal women.

What’s your reason for not being effective ? ? ?

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

Pardons! Pardons! When we neglect to accomplish something we are relied upon to do, we quite often have a reason for it. In any case, in the event that we examine it intently, a reason is a self-dangerous explanation for having neglected to accomplish something, particularly when it includes achieving an objective. Rather than attempting to endure in discovering approaches to keep accomplishing an objective, a few of us resort to pardons.

Indeed, even an impairment can’t be utilized as a reason. Numerous disabled however decided individuals have ended up achievers and champions. Rather than utilizing an impediment as a reason, let us transform it into a benefit. Give us a chance to investigate this further.

An impediment need not be an explanation behind disappointment. Despite what might be expected, a debilitation can be an explanation behind achievement. Individuals with an impediment dependably have a counterbalancing quality that permits them to overcome issues superior to anything others.

A man with an impediment has one fixation – to lead a typical life. Contingent upon the debilitation, a man would like to be as autonomous as could reasonably be expected. So he battles and discovers approaches to defeat his obstacle. When he can accomplish his objective, this raises his self-regard. Thusly, he rouses others.

Everyone has handicaps in changing structures and degree. That is the reason; it requires exertion and determination to overcome them. Debilitations can either be physical, budgetary, or enthusiastic. Furthermore, they can either be genuine or envisioned.

At whatever point we take a gander at a debilitation, we quite often look on the negative side as it were. It about time we investigate the positive side of it. The positive side might be the troublesome side, yet it’s the one worth investigating. The side is going to lead us to exceed expectations in life.

On the off chance that you think your impediment is physical, such as having a feeble body, you can neutralize this through appropriate eating routine and preparing works out. For whatever length of time that the physical parts of your body are in place and portable, there’s no motivation behind why you can’t make it solid and helpful. Why? Positively, there are help focuses to kick you off even from zero level. When you are at first warmed up with the nuts and bolts of a training, the rest is dependent upon you. Make utilization of libraries. When you are instructively prepared, utilize your mind and concoct inventive thoughts to enhance your life.

In the event that you are candidly aggravated with negative considerations, it resemble you are perched on a seat with wobbling legs. Have a go at sitting on a seat with tough legs; which means, take a gander at the brilliant, positive side of life. Set aside antagonism and begin thinking emphatically. The special case who can stop you is yourself.

On the off chance that your debilitation is a blend of any of the physical, money related, or enthusiastic sort, congrats. You ought to endeavor more to overcome them, in light of the fact that a twofold layer of persistence results to dramatically increase the accomplishment. Where the chances are more noteworthy, the prize gets much greater. After every one of the endeavors you have applied, the prize of progress should be a merited one.

So what’s your reason for not being effective? Think further and get back with feedback. You yourself will be astonished.

IMPORTANT Instructions to carefully know achievement

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

“All in good time,” we’ve heard it been said. All in good time will the goal be reached?

But it’s difficult to be patient when we have bills to pay, a rickety marriage, or a crummy job. We want change right now.

change-your-mind

“It’s the journey, not the end,” we’re reminded.

Success isn’t a destination, but the road we’re on.

But what if the road is full of ruts, rocks, and too many intersections?

What if the journey feels like a big pot of boiling melodrama and anxiety?

We can simmer that pot with mindfulness.

The most important step to mindfulness, however, is putting aside our own mind and immersing our consciousness in divine Mind.

Too often, we let our human minds organize, categorize, and mull over who has done what, or not.

But, this action of the human mind isn’t “action” so much as “reaction” to past events. Not very mindful.

We have a spiritual consciousness in tune with a mindfulness of the now, which is directly linked to a promising future.

Here are three ways to feel your consciousness in tune with mindfulness:

  • Don’t be patient with problems, but be patient with solutions.
  • Get over yourself. Be in and of the universal Mind that wants the best for everyone.
  • Look for and admit each tiny success in your journey.

Spiritual successes are true victories. They are those times when we forgive our enemy, the times when we let go of a bad habit, those times when we stop loving chocolate more than God’s goodness, those times when we let the driver cut in front of us without getting angry, those times when we don’t blame someone else for our problems.

Every second we exercise a spiritual success we are getting stronger.

The good times increase and the journey becomes interesting, creative, and welcoming.

We aren’t here to master the world as much as we are to master those thoughts that place limitations on our health, happiness, and peace.

Because so many people in the past and present are able to overcome their limitations, that means we can too.

The divine force is universal, available to everyone.

The timeless ideas are tools to use when on our spiritual journey.

You can be patient with progress.

You can be a deep and inclusive thinker.

You can find each success in your journey.

You, yes you can make this all happen step by step day by day.

How to Maximize Your Life from 18 years old to 26 years old

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

Hey Hey Folks interesting title. Isn’t it. I am sure it grabs your attention. No one of you like to become an old stick in the community.Stay healthy young and move on.Feel yourself always 26

In order to maximize your 18 to 26, you must follow a few keys steps that will be listed below.

Figuring out what you are passionate about in life – Some people might think 18 years old is too early to figure out what you want to do in life, and I agree. However, I don’t like to say figure out what you want to do in life. I like to say figure out your passion. Figuring out what it is you are passionate about at 18 years old is the perfect time. Once you figure out what you are passionate about you can begin the process of an 18 to 26. Without a passion; you will be stuck in the same position, and you will find that your life has become stagnant.

Putting Together a Plan to Reach Success – Once you have found out what your passion is you can now work towards achieving goals. However, first you must plan. I once heard, “Those who plan to fail, plan to fail.” Those who plan for success are people that make their process of becoming successful a lot easier. Making things easier is what will help you maximize the next seven years of your life.

Let Go of Anything That Takes You Away From Your Focus – If you think about it there are a lot of things in your life that can cause you to lose your focus. Letting go of some of these things is important because they directly affect your future. In order to achieve your goals, you might have to stay at the library a few extra hours and miss a party.

In life I have had to let some friends. I realized that I could not stay on the phone talking to my friends all night. I realized the time I spent talking to my friends on the phone could have been used for something productive. You got me. OK then move your eyes further down here.

Find Opportunities – Don’t wait for something to happen. Go after what is that you want from life. You might find an internship that might lead you eventually work for a big company. You might find an opportunity to write for a newspaper company. Take these opportunities; they will help you become successful quicker. They will help you maximize your 18 to 26.

Work Hard – Finally, just work hard. Give these next seven years everything you have. Don’t slack off, and don’t take this for granted. You have an opportunity to do something big while you’re young. Go after it. Follow your passionate and become successful.

With all this being said, work towards maximizing your 18 to 26. If you work hard now for seven years, the next years of your life will be great. Don’t get lazy, work hard. Work hard and become successful. Your time is now, and I challenge you to become successful. It’s all about you yes. Make it happen and don’t believe in fairy tales or any magic.

IMAN – THE ANTI PROCRASTINATION TECHNIQUE

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

Fire Nation,

I know what to do. I recognize the benefits of doing it. I understand the negative consequences of not doing it. I have the competence and resources to do it. But I still don’t do it.’ Why not, Why, what is keeping you back to act.

Does this story sound very familiar?

I am sure you will agree with me that we all encounter postponements that keep us from doing what is critical for our success. We cannot always control what happens to us but we can always exercise control over how it will impact us. We do not have to let delays defeat us. We don’t have to give into these energy suckers and become a victim of procrastination. Why should we leave ourselves at the mercy of ‘The Guilt of the Incomplete’? But first  the question arises,  why do we do that?

WHY DO WE Procrastinate
Before we discover a treatment for this universal disease, ‘procrastination’, let us look at some of the reasons behind it.

1.Waiting for the right mood
You don’t feel like doing it. Your mood is o_ and you are emotionally down.

2. Waiting for the right time
You don’t think that it is the right time to take action, when actually it is.

3. Lack of clear goals
How can you feel inclined to do it when the goal is not clear?

4. Underestimating the difficulty of the task
You thought doing it was no big deal, but when you started you realized that you would have to put in much more effort than you first thought. So why not postpone it for now?

5. Unclear standards for the task outcomes
You started but did not have an idea about exactly what was expected. You did not know the performance criteria.

6. Feeling the task is imposed on you
When you think you have to do it, your motivation is reduced. Your heart and mind are not fully involved.

7. The task is too ambiguous
You finally got around to doing it but the task was too vague, unclear and blurred. Then you did not find good reason to continue.

8. Fear
‘I don’t think I can do it; if I go ahead I will not succeed.’

10 Perfectionism
‘I don’t have the right skills or resources to do this perfectly, so I won’t do it at all.’

FROM INACTION TO ACTION
After acquiring all the tools, techniques and strategies, why do people not put into use what they know? Why do people choose inaction instead of taking action? We have identified some psychological fears. These fears suppress your inventiveness; your talents and resources remain hidden, undeveloped and untapped. These fears include:

1 Fear of failure
If I were unsuccessful, how would I handle the embarrassment? It’s better not to show up for this presentation. Let’s procrastinate.

2 Fear of success
If I do it this time, people will expect me to do it again. Will I be able to
handle the pressure that comes with success?

3 Fear of the status quo
If the status quo is disturbed, who knows how the new situation will
turn out? Let’s maintain things as they are. Why take a risk?

4 Fear of perfection
If I started it now, I would not complete it until I achieved a level of perfection. Do I have time for perfection?

5 Fear of loss
If I did it now, I might end up losing out on a few things. Can I

RECOGNIZE THAT YOU’RE PROCRASTINATING
How would you recognize in yourself the symptoms of procrastination?

I am listing some of them:
• Filling your day with low priority tasks from your To Do list
• Reading an e-mail more than once, without starting work on it
• Starting work on a high-priority task, and almost immediately going off to make yourself a cup of coffee or check your e-mails
• Leaving an item on your To Do list undone for a long time, even though you know it’s important
• Regularly saying ‘Yes’ and filling up your time with unimportant tasks

Why you procrastinate can depend on both you and the task. They can often be reduced to two main reasons:

1. You find the task unpleasant; or
2. You find the task overwhelming

Now that you know the symptoms and reasons for procrastinating, the question is how do you crush procrastination? How do you knock it out?

ANTI-PROCASTINATION-FORMULA
This attitude or syndrome has the potential to negatively impact your results, success and even your entire life. I have created a strategy to defeat procrastination and build results faster. I call it the IMAN TECHNIQUE.

Benefits of 5S workplace organization

One of the methods of determining an organizations approach to its business is to evaluate its workplace organization capability & visual management standards.

5S engages people through the use of ‘Standards’ and ‘Discipline’.

It is not just about housekeeping, but concentrating on maintaining the standards & discipline to manage the organization – all achieved by upholding & showing respect for the Gemba [workplace] every day.

The 5 Steps are as follows:

  • Sort: Sort out & separate that which is needed & not needed in the area.
  • Straighten: Arrange items that are needed so that they are ready & easy to use. Clearly identify locations for all items so that anyone can find them & return them once the task is completed.
  • Shine: Clean the workplace & equipment on a regular basis in order to maintain standards & identify defects.
  • Standardise: Revisit the first three of the 5S on a frequent basis and confirm the condition of the Gemba using standard procedures.
  • Sustain: Keep to the rules to maintain the standard & continue to improve every day.

Benefits of 5S workplace organization

5S relates to workplace organization and forms a solid foundation upon which many organizations base their drive for continuous improvement. It is equally applicable & successful in all sectors helping to achieve high impact results.

It is a systematic and methodical approach allowing teams to organise their workplace in the safest and most efficient manner.

The discipline to check & repair equipment is included & adopted. The entire process is managed through the use of team generated audit documents, completed on an agreed frequency by responsible owners within the Gemba.

Summary

  • Improved safety
  • 5S becomes a fundamental business measure & key driver for Kaizen
  • Forms a solid foundation upon which to build continuous improvement
  • Employees gain a sense of ownership, involvement & responsibility
  • Reduction in waste – as defined by Ohno’s seven forms of waste

Are you ready to INSPIRE

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

Would you like to decidedly affect the lives of others? In the event that you genuinely longing to rouse the general population around you, the best thing you can do is to concentrate on some basic “standards of character” and make them a player in your every day life. More than where you work, or the amount of cash you make, or what you look like, the way you hold yourself and cooperate with others will affect the amount of motivation they draw from being around you.

Here are some ways you can rouse others to reach past themselves and lead experience that are more significant and fruitful.

Inspire others by expecting the most of them.
Most of us will rise to the expectations of the people who believe in us. Find reasons to believe in the people around you, and communicate your high expectations. Encourage them and let them know that you have faith that they will achieve what they set out to do.

Inspire others by challenging them.
While you are communicating your faith in the people around you, help them raise the bar as well. Challenge them to go beyond what’s easy and comfortable. Encourage them to try new things and confront new obstacles they haven’t faced before. Doing so will make them stronger and increase their faith in themselves.

Inspire others by caring about them.
Expectations and challenges won’t matter much unless you are also authentically caring about the people you’re hoping to inspire. Focus on what’s best for them. Then show them that you care by the way you treat them and interact with them.

Inspire others by taking a stand for what you believe in.
In order for other people to follow you, they have to know that your convictions inspire you to stand for something. One of the best ways to help other live meaningful, significant, lives, is to set an example by living that kind of a life yourself.

Inspire others by having the courage to change course.
Even as you stay true to what you believe in, be sure to remain flexible. A true leader doesn’t hold rigidly to a path he or she has chosen in the past when that path turns out to be the wrong one. Be willing to consider alternatives and explore new options when they present themselves.

Inspire others by being vulnerable.
Be honest about who you are and your own shortcomings and failures. People are much more apt to follow and be inspired by someone who is a real human being, than by someone who seems too good to be true. Talk about the struggles you’ve overcome, and demonstrate that it really is possible to remain strong and resilient in the face of difficult times.

Inspire others by practicing HIGH integrity.
Refuse to be a spin doctor. Speak the truth, even if it’s not what someone wants to hear. And avoid gossip and easy attacks on unpopular people. Rise above petty politics and be someone people count on to do the right thing.

Inspire others by sharing the VALUABLE credit.
Recognize the people around you for what they’ve done, and for their successes. Even when you are largely responsible for a particular victory, there’s no reason not to spread the wealth as far as credit and recognition are concerned. A leader who shares a success is someone other people will want to follow and even emulate.

Inspire others by sharing your BEST influences.
Talk about the people who have inspired you. Quote from books you’ve found meaningful, and tell stories of the people who have impacted your life. The more people hear about others who have achieved meaning and success, the more likely they will be to believe that they can do so themselves.

Inspire others by listening GOOD to them.
When you listen to the people around you, you show them that they matter, and that their ideas are worth hearing. Plus, you’ll better understand what they care about, and what their goals are, and you’ll know better how to motivate and inspire them.

10 Main Approaches to Move Others to Be Their Best

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

We all know people who are inspiring. But just how does one inspire others? Here are ten main simple rules you can inspire people to be their best, let them jump and fly and touch the sky:

Be a good example. People watch what you do more than they listen to what you say. Be someone worth emulating.

Care about others. People don’t care about how much you know until they know how much you care. Ask questions. Take a genuine interest in people.

Encouragement. Everyone goes through tough times. When you support people and encourage them through these times, you’ll be inspiring them to see the best in themselves and in the situation.

Be inspired yourself. Look for people, ideas, environments and knowledge that you find inspiring and motivating.

Share from your own experience. You have more to share than you realize. Mine the rich experiences of your life and share your wisdom from your unique point of view. You may be the only one who can touch someone with your inspiring message.

Be vulnerable. Be willing to share your failures as well as your successes. Others will relate to you. They’ll understand that they’re not the only ones with challenges.

Tell stories. Facts tell and stories sell. They inspire, too. We learn best from parables and we all need to develop our own inspiring stories.

Be a good communicator. Increasing your ability to communicate effectively is a critical element for you to inspire others. Watch how you speak and what you say. Invest in your communication skills.

Challenge people. Many of us have had teachers who at times seemed more like tormentors than mentors. They challenged us to do our best, and we were better for it. Practice “carefrontation”—the careful and caring confrontation of others.

Read. It may not follow that all readers are leaders, but certainly all leaders are readers. Stay informed. Share what you read with others. Tell people about books that have inspired you.
