WHY YOU HAVEN’T OVERCOME STRESS YET

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

The new year started fresh but I know a lot of you are still under stress. Good enough to start my first blog item with giving you the ability how to reduce stress from your mind, body and soul.

Sit back, relax and let me talk to you…

Don’t you forget we live in a world of stress, from childhood to old days at home, in the work place .it keeps us awake at night. Stress ruins our days and tons of other activities.

And so we often ask, how can I get rid of the anxieties of life.

How can I get free from STRESS.

Some people take exercise other takes yoga, other do meditation something, anything, but my understanding is this:

There is no getting away from STRESS, yes you can’t get away from it. The age we all living in is the age of STRESS.

This is a world of STRESS. A time of STRESS.

You breath it, you see it, you hear it and what to do ????

You can learn to manage it and to tolerate it how not to identify it and it’s effects.

Now how do you do that ?? Here it comes…..

Change your approach to the factor STRESS and change your approach to life by remembering this mantra : BE ANCHORED you got it yes BE ANCHORED

What do I really mean :

Envisage a ship or boat anchored at sea, Storms/ hurricanes may come one after another the boat may toss this way and that and furniture inside may go flying. Some people get seasick, but the boat doesn’t go anywhere.

Why ???

Clear…It’s Anchored !!

So you be anchored, find the place in life that you want to be in based on who you really are. Find what your inner-self really wants from life and anchor to that.

Once you keep bringing yourself back to that place by constant remembrance of your identity values and goals then you can learn to manage STRESS.

At the fresh start of this new year I would like to share ten tips how to be calm and reduce STRESS:

  1. MEDITATE

Just a few minutes a day of meditation can help to ease your stress and anxiety.

  2. BREATHE DEEPLY

When you are feeling stressed, take time to focus on breathing deeply. Close your eyes, sit up straight and focus on nothing but breathing deeply.

  3. REACH OUT

Having a solid social support system is a good key to reduce stress.

Reach out to close friends and your family in time of need.

  4. EXERCISE

Exercise has been shown to increase “FEEL GOOD” endorphins that can help reduce stress. A long walk can give you time to reflect, while an intense gym workout can let you release negative energy.

  5. LAUGH

Laughter may not be the “best” medicine but it does actually lower cortisol – also known as the stress hormone.

  6. LISTEN TO MUSIC.

Research has shown that listening to soothing music can lower blood pressure, heart rate and anxiety. Alternatively, listening to more upbeat music can also help by invigorating you.

  7. BE GRATEFUL

These two words tells you a lot.

  8. ACCEPT YOU CAN’T CONTROL EVERYTHING

This one is very simple – some times you just have to step back and realize that you can’t control everything. Some things are out of your hands, so why waste your time stressing about them.

  9. STAY POSITIVE

It is not easy to stay always positive. But, you can make an active effort to try and to find the positively in your very own life. Do not focus on negative thoughts like “bad things are going to happen with me”.

  10. DO SOMETHING FUN

Don’t forget to take some time to really enjoy yourself. Find yourself a nice hobby that can tune your mind body and soul. Do activities that you enjoy. Surround yourself around people that you have fun with.

THE WHOLE SKUNT WORLD IS BLOGGING

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

Hello friends in this digital universe. I hope you all are doing fine wherever you are and what you do.

“I’m thinking today about blogging,” it is a common statement I frequently hear from my friends. “But what Skunt? And who will read that, because so much is being written already. And last but not least: how do I keep it full and with a high dosage of blogging passion? ‘

That’s why today I want to talk to you and others by writing the following…

Blog …About what?

You think: buyer/seller and so on! My blog must go about my field of course.

It depends on ..

Depends on? Yes. Sometimes you still have one leg in a job or your own company, while your attention always lies somewhere else. A person X – who was still employed at the time – started to blog about introverts one day because he/she had discovered that he/she was one him/herself and wanted to figure out how to deal with it. Person Y wanted to get rid of the mess in his/her life and started a blog about his/her own progress. Both persons now pass on their knowledge and experiences to others as entrepreneurs. You got me now how things might start about blogging.

Blogging = a long-term trip. You do not do it ‘a week’. Then it is useful if your subject can count on your attention for quite some time.

But there is something else. With a blog you make a connection. You want to reach people with it. That brings us to somewhere. Can you feel me better now !

Who will read that?

Three points:

1 First about the length of your blog

Who will read that?

Three points:

1 First about the length of your nice blog

This does not make a butt. As long as people find it interesting what you write or post, your blog can be as long as you want. There are readers who first have a cup of tea/coffee or rum in the Caribbean and then start reading blogs, as if it is the newspaper on a Sunday morning.

2 … But then it must be interesting for people

That becomes obvious when you share your experiences, whether or not supplemented with knowledge. These experiences are mainly about your view of things, your approach, your own research(es). Think of that much-given tip of ‘use a number in your blog title’: 5 extraordinary books about sexylulu shoes. 10 tips to survive holidays with friends and family. That tip works. But that only works once for you if you then come up with 10 clichés, devoid of any personalization. Yes hello. We do not travel all the way to your blog! Haha. I can see you smiling !

3 You should be able to find those people you want to reach easily

Share your blog via the social media you use. And your blog is public, so if you share via Facebook, for example, set your message institution to ‘public’ once. You may also use other social media platforms as well. It is up to you where you like your blogs to go public.

And will people also react?

Yes. But not always how you expect. Famous Bloggers are enjoying reactions among their blogs. But readers also respond via tweets, Facebook messages, old-fashioned e-mails or individual comments during a meeting in the style of ‘oh yes, I have been reading your blogs for the last three hundred years’. I always get a lot from the last two. I myself get my reactions the same ways too. Experience is that people do not respond if you ask them explicitly. What I find terribly funny again, because if you ask me something emphatically, I also have a tendency not to do it. Cristal clear !

How do you keep it full?

Choose a form that is closest to yourself. A form that ideally starts with a new blog. Or else the least effort of all forms takes place. If you are a poet, blog through poems etc. Some bloggers go further by shooting a blog everyday via a fresh daily on their website. If you are an artist you mayblog through cartoons as well. On the blog a photographer you will find many photos. Well. You understand where I want to go. A blog is not necessarily a mountain of text. Is allowed. Not necesarry. Make your videos? Blog with videos. 3D print designer? Make sure we can also view your latest fat gobbly shit 3D.

Also choose a tone that is closest to yourself. Not only because of the marketing tip that everyone is up to you: that you also attract the nicest customers/readers. Do it for yourself for God’s sake. It is tiring to always pretend to be different than you are. Nobody thinks: ‘I will become a freelancer, then I can finally be someone who I am not. I am so disturbed by being in paid employment but always being completely myself. ‘ I am still blogging which started as my hobby and my passion in writing.

With two comments. One : listen to the language Nazis. A blog full of game and language errors exudes everything except what you want it to exude. Two : avoid ‘wronged’. Complaining, expressing criticism, being grumpy – can all be on your blog. If you do it with an open mind, humor, self-insight, respect, substantiation of your complaint or arguments, and so on. I think I am clear enough. You may want to fill this list further.

What blog tip do you have for others, even if you are a fresh starter, others may learn from you. Nice if you put that in the comments under this blog. Or not. Do especially what you want skunt. You are finally big enough to decide what you like to do. Me done talk, meh a blog further.

The Caribbean Blog Authority

FYI : SKUNT
A word in the Caribbean culture used as an expletive/curse word. Most frequently used to express disbelief, anger or surprise, “Ooh skunt!!!” It can also be used to as a adjective when referring to an actual person, or their being. Can be used when referring to a woman or man etc.

WHAT THE USE OF YOUR MOBILE REALLY TELLS YOU

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

Seize your mobile phone, we do it all. Yet there are many of us who make excessive use of their mobile phone, some of which are useless. In the morning, when you wake up, look directly at your phone, many times in between and before going to sleep, just check mail, Whatsapp, FB and Insta? Recognizable? What does that have to do with entrepreneurship you might wonder? Enough to stand still.

Funest

We can no longer imagine a life without a mobile phone. This is also largely true for the generation above us. Children of today wonder “how did that go then?” Can not imagine a life without a mobile phone. For many of us this has also become reality. Earlier I wrote a blog about TV and how mind-numbing that occasionally can be. Many people sit behind the TV when they are bored. With the mobile phone that is partly comparable, there are many who constantly grab their phone. It is valuable to be aware of the impact of intensive and above all useless use of your mobile phone. By finding a better balance in the use of your mobile you will reap the benefits in your (working) life. First, let’s consider how you handle your mobile phone.

Use

In what way do you use your mobile phone? Consider what your day looks like, from early in the morning until late at night before you go to sleep. How often do you grab your mobile and what do you do? Go check it out; Tumble and also indicate the reason that you grab your mobile. Do not hold back, but be guided by what you would normally do. Without condemning yourself, it is only about observing what you do. And of course it is true that when you become aware that a lot is already happening. You step out of automatism and see why you do what you do. Only that perception is already valuable.

Sign on the wall

What are the things you do on your cell phone? Do you follow the news, and what news is that? Make your notes, do you record, do you use other business apps for your business? Or do you scan (nonsensical) messages on social media to kill time? Do you play games? And if you do that, which part of the day do you do that in particular? In short, pluck it out.

I also know the temptation of my cell phone too well. I know that the use of my mobile phone tells me a lot about how things are going; with my business and also how I feel private about myself. There have been times that I often checked online news. Occasionally I read a message that it was worth reading, but the majority was to be considered as nonsensical information and pure waste of time. With me, it was moments when I was not in my hum for a moment and I was less aware. A flight to fill the scarce moments of peace and quiet. And, moreover, with the intensive use of your mobile, the danger is that you do not pay any real attention to the people who are important to you.

Dot on the horizon

Just to fall in the house, I believe that having a powerful life mission and a great awareness as a person (and entrepreneur) help you to deal with your mobile in a healthier way. Healthier than when you live your life without a clear dot on the horizon of where you want to go and why. If your drive is so powerful you want to focus your energy on that. Then there are too many beautiful things in your life that make you forget your mobile phone now and then.

In addition, I believe that if you are very aware of who you are and where you stand in life that you have virtually no boredom. You live, work and enjoy and know what silence and peace mean to you. That you need to be truly yourself and to create from your essence.

Do not forget to check your phone

Choose

Just go get started to discover with yourself how you handle your mobile. Then you have the choice whether you want to do this differently or whether you like it the way it is now. Make it at least a conscious choice. It gives you so much more positive energy when you go from the inside out and not the other way around. Wondering what it will bring you when you become more aware of how you use your mobile phone? And realize, it is not something that happens to you. You choose from now on.

YOUR BUSINESS ON QUICKSAND?

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

Ideas are bubbling up and you do not know where to start from craziness. There is chaos in your head. And the impact is that your head overflows and that the efficiency of your efforts leaves much to be desired. Recognizable? A much heard problem with entrepreneurs. How do you create focus in your work, create an overview and create clarity?

Getting bogged down in chaos can be pretty crippling. Just when you have a lot of creative ideas and there is plenty to do. The result is that little really gets off the ground. In many cases this is because the structure is lacking and also the connection between the things you do in your company.

Fragile basis

A significant part of the entrepreneurs have actually built their company on quicksand or is working on this. Serious. I will explain to you what I mean. Many entrepreneurs focus primarily on developing ideas, launching new products and services and are in the process of marketing them. Meanwhile the flow of ideas keeps going, new ideas pile up and ultimately there is a lot of ‘unfinished’ on the shelf and the overview is lost. As a result, you no longer know where to start, so that you become paralyzed. And this can lead to frustration again.

It often appears that the basis of your actions and efforts is fragile. And what do I mean by that? I will explain that on the basis of a number of questions. Is it clear to you what the reason is that you do what you do, for whom you work and what your unique way of working is? And to what extent have you anchored this? What is the umbrella signature (or call it the umbrella) of your company? And how did you record this?

Signature

For me, my signature is the indispensable foundation of my company. All my knowledge, expertise and method are interwoven in this. It is the starting point for all my products and services and my earnings model is derived from this.

In my daily work I guide entrepreneurs in developing their own unique signature. The road to success. And why? Because it offers you clarity and overview. That gives you peace of mind so that you can fully focus your attention on what flows and gives you energy. Working with the customers that make you happy and build the growth of your company. Moreover, the connection between what you do is clear. Your signature is the pure starting point of everything you do from your company.

The base

In order to achieve the signature for your company, it is important to have your desire and your WHY clear. Why do you do what you do? What is your underlying motivation? Only when you build your signature from your deepest desire and your WHY will you lay a very valuable foundation for success. And why is knowing your own WHY so important for your signature? Everything in your company revolves around your why. Your customers come to you because they believe in why you do what you do. There are indeed many coaches and trainers, but nobody is exactly as you are. And nobody does exactly what you do for exactly the same reason. Do you have clear what your WHY is?

In order to come to your own signature you will have to figure out and understand a number of things for yourself. In practice I work with a 7 step model that has your WHY and deepest desire as a starting point.

The Internet Is 24 / 7 On The Run But Timing Still Matters In This Thing

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

With so much information on the net regarding Internet marketing, identifying the best approach is difficult. Following is a discussion of the timing issues you should keep in mind.

The Internet is Used 24/7, But Timing Still Matters

Information on web marketing is a dime a dozen. Reports and studies often find things we all already know if we use our common sense. In general, more people are using the Internet to find services and products, the volume of sales is increasing each year, and people are nervous about identity theft. Wow, what a surprise. Let’s take a look at topic you can actually benefit from.

While the Internet is available and used 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, buying trends do not encompass this vast time period. Instead, they are specific to particular periods of the week and year. In general, people are far more likely to take action on a site during the work week and during work hours. When they search for something during this period, they are already motivated to purchase. On weekends or holidays, sale conversion rates will drop as people are more likely to be blowing time just browsing around the Internet.

So, how can you use this information to your benefit? Your communications with clients should be oriented to occur during the week, preferably on a Monday or Tuesday. Your marketing materials should also be oriented to offer incentives for limited time periods, typically one or two days from Monday through Thursday. Finally, you should be sending out email newsletters on Monday evenings, so your prospects can read it when they come to work Tuesday morning. The hassles of Monday should be over, which will make them more receptive. These guidelines apply throughout the year with one exception.

The holiday season on the Internet runs from early November through the end of the third week of December. If you sell products or services that can be tied into the holiday season, you can’t help but make a bundle during this period. Prospects are highly motivated to buy and you need to get in front of them. Email communication should be sent every three days beginning in early November. The first Monday after the Thanksgiving weekend is a huge online sales day. From that point forward, you should be sending different email communications to prospects and former clients on a daily basis. This is your golden time, so get in front of your clients.

There are billions of different aspects of Internet marketing discussed and debated on a daily basis. Take into account timing issues and you can will see an upward trend in your revenues.

Santa The Consummate Entrepreneur

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

Most people think Santa Claus only works one night a year. Nothing could be further from the truth. Sure, product distribution takes place on one magical night, but Santa’s operation runs year round and is one of the largest manufacturing and distribution operations in the world.

You’ve probably never considered the fact that Santa is the CEO of a large organization that not only distributes a vast assortment of products throughout the world, but does so in a single night with just a sleigh and eight tiny reindeer. Sam Walton would have killed to have Santa’s logistics manual.

Do I believe in Santa? You bet your red longjohns I do. I especially believe in Santa’s entrepreneurial spirit. Just consider all he does from an entrepreneurial point of view and I think you will start to believe, too.

Santa Is His Own Company Spokesperson

Santa is a brilliant marketer and knows that his image is the best marketing tool he has. No other face is as recognizable and no other entrepreneur has inspired so many songs. You’ll never hear “An Ode To Jack Welch” on the radio ten times a day.

Santa’s Customers Love Him

Just say his name around a group of kids and watch their little faces light up like Rudolph’s nose. You will never see Bill Gates get that kind of reaction. Heck, he can’t even make his own kids smile.

Santa Sets The Bar For All Entrepreneurs

When you list the traits of the perfect entrepreneur, Santa gets the highest marks. He has passion for his work. He loves his customers and will go to great lengths to make sure they are happy. He has the ability to spot consumer trends and bring products to market quickly. He can lead a large organization with a wink of his eye. He inspires those around him. He is tireless. He is dedicated. He is loyal. He is persistent. And above all, he is jolly. Name another jolly entrepreneur (other than Dave Thomas of Wendy’s fame). I bet you can’t.

Santa Is A Great Leader

Can you imagine trying to manage a few hundred giddy elves who are shut in year round and spend their off hours drinking spiked hot chocolate and doing who knows what with fairy dust? It would be enough to drive even the best of entrepreneurs to hide out at the North Pole. Somehow Santa manages the task without pulling his whiskers out. I expect he has a management system that promotes from within. The hard working elves get into management. The slackers are stuck cleaning up after the reindeer.

Santa Perfected “Just In Time” Manufacturing

Santa heads up one of the largest, most diverse manufacturing operations in the world. His product lines range from rag dolls to toy trains to rocking horses to baseball gloves for the little kids, to iPods and cellphones and diamond rings for us big kids. Santa’s factory runs year round, twenty four hours a day, seven days a week and never, ever suffers from cost overrun or production shut downs. Santa perfected the “just in time” method of production that is used by many of the world’s largest manufacturers today.

Santa Pioneered Global Product Distribution

Santa is the king of single channel distribution. How else could he deliver millions of presents to good little girls and boys all around the world on a single night? Santa’s distribution process is a closely-guarded secret (elves and reindeer are required to sign iron-clad nondisclosure agreements), but I expect it involves a highly detailed logistics plan and the best CRM software on the planet. You never hear about Santa calling up a kid and telling them a present is backordered until July.

Santa’s Delivery & Tracking Systems Are Second To None

If you think FedEx is number one at tracking packages think again. Santa’s track record is spotless. He has never, ever missed a single delivery or left a box sitting on the porch in the rain. Every package is delivered in perfect shape, right under the tree.

Santa Wrote The Book On Customer Satisfaction

Santa proudly boasts a 100% perfect customer satisfaction rating. You never hear about class action lawsuits and Better Business Bureau complaints against St. NIck. Santa makes sure that his customers are happy and if they aren’t, he’ll come back next year to make things right. If JD Power could find him, I’m sure they would give Santa their Christmas Customer Satisfaction Award.

Santa Claus Is Watching You

Not everyone believes that Santa is the perfect entrepreneur. There are those kids who complain that Santa never brings what they ask for, but we grown ups know that Santa brings the gift that is deserved, not necessarily the gift that is asked for.

Here’s a little Christmas tip from your Uncle Tim, boys and girls, ladies and gents: If you get a lump of coal in your stocking this year it’s because you were bad and that’s what you deserved.

It was not because Santa dropped the ball.

Merry Christmas everybody!
